A medium to full-bodied red wine with hints of fruit produced with select local grapes from the Dão Region. Grape Varieties used are Touriga Nacional, Tinta Pinheira, and Alfrocheiro Preto. Aged for 2 years before release.
The lot consists mostly of very typical varieties of the region: Aragonês, Trincadeira and Castelão and with a small percentage of Touriga-Nacional and Syrah. Fermentation took place for 6 days in stainless steel vats with controlled temperature and very careful maceration for a better expression of the typicality of the varieties, favoring the extraction of fruit and soft tannins.
Wine with a young character, with an aroma of red fruit and notes of more mature fruits. The fresh character of the wine stands out in conjunction with some sweet notes. Some typical vegetable notes emerge. In the mouth it has body, with a fresh and persistent finish, showing a good balance between natural acidity and structure. Finishes with some tannins that are still alive and fresh, giving the wine a good gastronomic character.
Ready to drink now, or will age well for a few years. Due to its structure and freshness in the mouth, it has good gastronomic capacity for everyday meat and sausage dishes. It accompanies light or well-seasoned meats, sausages, and slightly cured cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 16º C using a large glass.
